Abstract

The present study aims to reflect on the process of training teachers of Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL) in the context of a language center, from our experience as a teacher-trainee. Therefore, we propose to describe the experience of teaching / learning PFL in the context of the Center for Languages Teachers Development (CLTD) of UNESP from Assis, in order to propose, as a contribution to the process in question, a reflection on practice and construction of knowledge that may aid the teaching of PFL in other contexts. Thus, this project is based on the following research questions: a) how students of Arts, teachers in training, see teaching PFL; b) difficulties that arise during the process, c) resources and strategies that are used to overcome these difficulties. As an instrument of data collection, we will use recordings of meetings guidance language (with the teacher responsible for the project), recordings of lessons in PFL CLTD, reflective activities recorded in diaries, interviews, and questionnaires, which will be analyzed from a communicative and intercultural approach to language teaching and from the perspective of narrative research.
