Abstract

The goal of this research project is to describe the main activities to be undertaken during an internship abroad at EREA - Enseignement et Recherche en Ethnologie Amérindienne, Paris, France. The main objective of this internship will be to contribute to the enriching of a dialogue of material gathered on the Asuriní Xingu with literature on Amerindian ethnology, an essential step in the development of my doctoral thesis, supported by FAPESP. The main benefits will be: the opportunity to become familiar with the work conducted by colleagues at the research center which are related to the main topics of interest dealt with in my research; participation in the center's activities; attendance at seminars and conferences; and access to bibliographies and other publications produced in the French language that cover topics such as shamanism, notion of personhood and image.
