Abstract

Front the contemporary and emerging character of the creative economy, the project of the initiation scientific Creative Economy: Analysis of systematic coverage in Brazilian newspapers seeks answers to the lack of systematic coverage on the subject in the structure of Brazilian newspapers. The project started from the study of theoretical material on the aspects related to the theme (journalism, creative economy and Brazilian culture) for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the content for the creative economy in two newspapers, in order to highlight the causes that lead to setting a precarious coverage. The research internship abroad seek to complement the project of the initiation scientific in progress by the analysis of studies conducted at the University of Seville, with the job of immersing in the Interdisciplinary Group of Communication Studies, Political and Social Changes (Compoliticas). The main objective will be to obtain a comparative analytic framework in theoretical and practical aspects of the coverage of the creative economy in newspapers. This work will enable the completion of the initial research through the dissemination of content produced to date, comparing the different content and inclusion of new observations and theories, obtained from the study of a distinct reality about it.
