Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies have brought new instruments for pedagogical mediation and are responsible for reestablishing the nature and functions of didactic materials in such a modality (Nonato&Sales, 2007). The objectives of the research stage at "Facultad de Educación" of the "Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia" (UNED), under the supervision of Marta Ruiz Corbella, are: a) promoting the contact with bibliography on new literacy and digital literacy focusing the production of didactic materials; b) participating in seminars and academic meetings; c) participating in digital literacy practices. Involving a researcher pertaining to LEETRA is considered relevant in what refers to new practices and theories concerning digital literacy and Distant Education, as well as to future research involving both universities.
