Abstract

New forms of land use have emerged to meet the economic interests and also the time of renewal of the physical environment. In this context, geoenvironmental mapping has proven to be very effective as an instrument of environmental planning, for the analysis of strengths and environment weaknesses. Given the importance of this tool for the interrelationships management of anthropogenic practices with the geographical space, becomes necessary, geoenvironmental units that are identified in Espirito Santo do Pinhal and Santo Antônio do Jardim (SP). Small municipalities that don't have geoenvironmental maps which can contribute in an evaluation geological processes, test common in regions situated within the crystalline basement and the Paraná sedimentary basin, which enables the implementation and testing of the methodology appropriately, and the same can support the development of sustainable economic practices, among them the mining of sand and clay. Given the above, the main objective of this process is to develop geoenvironmental zones by physiographic subdivision of municipalities, with the aid of remote sensing and geoprocessing in order to prepare the cards: areas of permanent preservation, use land cover and physiographic subdivision. All this in order to integrate these and generate the environmental fragility map. End based on these results, consider environmental protection measures. The research will be developed from the perspective of systemic approach, according to the theoretical approach and the techniques of remote sensing and geoprocessing. (AU)
