Abstract

This project is part of the post-doctoral research "Neoliberalism and French thought of the 1960s and 1970s" (FAPESP-2011/21771-0). From a specific perspective, which prioritizes the works written or published between 1967 and 1977, the first phase of the research considered conceptual similarities among Foucault, Deleuze-Guattari and Lacan, establishing a grid of related problems. In the second phase, object of the present project, the results from the first phase will be integrated to the analysis of what is being called intellectual devices of political engagement: Groupe d 'Information sur les Prisons (GIP), Centre d'Etudes, de Recherches et de Formation institutionnelles (CERFI) and École Freudienne de Paris (EFP). The bibliographic research and preliminary analysis of the available documents on these devices identified three strategic vectors responsible for structuring the field and the morphology of the militant experience and its problematization, namely the politicization of subjectivity, the organizational model of direct action and conceptual regionalization of a metaphysics of power. According to the hypothesis posed by this project, applied to GIP, CERFI and EFP, these vectors can promote a specific theoretical extraction, which is not limited to a simple reflection of the thought of their leaders. The work on the archives will be developed in the interdisciplinary laboratory Sophiapol, Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense. (AU)
