Abstract

Fashion industry has great importance for the country's economy. Studies aimed at adding knowledge and propose contributions in this area are very important for recovery of the Brazilian products. In this sense, two important areas of fashion design are listed in this project: draping and surface design. This research project proposes to study draping taking into account surface of textile material being worked. When designing a textile surface designer working in two-dimensional field, but this textile will receive a three-dimensional body by modeling the fabric construction of the garment. In this sense we intend to investigate what effects prints , and the process by which they are conceived , can present in draping . Aims to technical and aesthetic appreciation of the fashion product through literature surveys about issues involved and further research to understand how the relationship between the design and modeling of textile surface is worked in fashion apparel and thereafter perform experiments and propose contributions to fashion design.
