The aim of this project is to develop new contributions for stability analysis and control design of dynamical systems. The mathematical models to be investigated consider polynomial dependence on the state, linear systems subject to nonlinearities, with uncertain parameters, with time-varying parameters, and structural constraints in the system and in the controller. The methodology is based on polynomial Lyapunov functions, in the parameters or in the system states, looking for, whenever possible, to formulate the problems as linear matrix inequality conditions. The results will be illustrated through numerical simulations concerned with stability and control of models of dynamical systems, both in continuous and in discrete-time. (AU)
