Abstract

This project presents the proposal for a research internship abroad, considering the category of master's program, linked to FAPESP Scholarship program number 2012/12358-4. We propose a two-month internship in Portugal in order to make contact with the collections and museum institutions, bibliography, academic production and Portuguese documentation, taking into account the second half of the eighteenth century and the early beginning of the nineteenth century, referring to material culture. The internship will count on the supervision of Professor PhD. Cristina Isabel dos Guimarães Sá e Sanches, University of Minho and on the Social Studies Institute, University of Lisbon. The research will be held in the library of the National Library of Portugal, Library of Assistance, Biblioteca de Letras, University of Minho, University of Lisbon and the Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo. The technical visits and events will be held at the National Museum of Natural History - University of Lisbon, National Museum of Costume and Fashion, Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva Foundation and Ancient Art Museum.
