Abstract

This proposed undergraduate research deals with the relations between the notions of "power", "body" and "pleasure" working on the idea of the constitution of man as subject, based on an analysis of the thoughts of Michel Foucault and Wilhelm Reich about the guidelines that stipulate the use of pleasures. Drawing on Foucaultian concepts of discipline, biopolitics and biopower and Reichian concepts of character and armoring of the ego, we intend to examine how, for each of these authors, the different historical forms of subjectivation invest in the body inherent marks of power, regulating the use of pleasures by the subject.
