Abstract

The proposed research aims to present a study on the work Brief Treaty, the philosopher Baruch Spinoza (1632-1677), using, however, the thought of receiving Spinozistic Hebrew Renaissance Lion (1460 -). Indeed, in their Dialoghi d'amore, Hebrew Lion brings the most certain tradition of Renaissance thought that identifies amore in a privileged object of philosophical speculation. In this sense, identifying himself as a reader of Leo Espinosa Hebrew should not, however, disregard the specificities observed in the philosophical thought in the passage of the Renaissance to Modernity. Among these differences, it can be stated, in particular, the question of method: well reasoned as a tool to conduct the search for reason in the true knowledge. Thus, the improvement of the method becomes key issue for both the modern philosophical discourse, whether for thought espinosano. Thus, combining the question of the method to the problem of definition and property of love, it becomes possible to identify the elements in Brief Treaty trainers espinosano the development of thought, reaching its finish in Ethics. Thus, this project does not consider the Jewish philosophical tradition as a link between the thoughts of Hebrew and Leo Espinosa, contributing to a full understanding Spinozian philosophy.
