The objectives of this work are: a) Identify the iron oxides clay Oxisol techniques using X-ray diffraction and Diffuse Reflectance. In an area of 300 hectares will be bounded a transect of approximately 2,500 meters and a sampling grid. Along the transection in a range of 30 meters, sampling points are located in a total of 83 points. In the sampling grid covering the whole area, the sampling points are located one in three ha totaling approximately 100 sample points. The sampling grid will be located so that transect occupies its center position. Samples will be collected at the transect depths from 0.00 to 0.25 and 0.25-0.50 m for mineralogical analyzes of the clay fraction (iron oxides) and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and sample grid 300 ha at a depth of 0.00 to 0.25 m, soils will be collected to perform the analysis of diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and at some points will be carried out mineralogical analysis. The mineralogical analyzes will be carried out by x-ray diffraction and goethite and hematite obtained by this method are compared to those obtained by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. All attributes will be subjected to statistical analysis and geostatistics to assess dependence and spatial variability.
