Abstract

UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) are aircraft that can fly autonomously and nowadays can be used in different applications. What enables these aircrafts to follow a pre-programmed flight path is the autonomous control system, responsible for keeping the aircraft stable and for performing navigation tasks. This research internship abroad is inserted in the context of the development of an autonomous control system for a specific aircraft that can take off and land vertically. The aim of this internship is to study statistical estimation techniques to perform data fusion with the aircraft sensors, thus improving the control itself and its stabilization. (AU)
