Abstract

The aim of this in vitro study is to evaluate, through light emitting diode, the influence of the application of bioactive glass ceramics on the bond strength of adhesive systems with previous acid etching and caries-affected dentin, natural or artificial, compared to sound dentin. One hundred and twenty molars, 80 healthy and 40 decayed, will be selected, and 40 sound teeth will undergo artificial caries formation by pH cycling. After the planning of occlusal surfaces, the teeth will be separated into 4 groups (n = 10): Group 1 - etching, rinsing and drying application Biosilicate + + + composite adhesive system; Group 2 - same as Group 1 without Biosilicate; group 3 - application Biosilicate + + composite adhesive system; group 4 - same as group 3 without Biosilicate. After treatments, teeth restored with composite (Opallis - FGM). The teeth are stored in water at 37 ° C for 6 months and then sectioned perpendicular to the bonding interface, producing sticks (n = 20) of 0.9 mm thickness. The samples will be attached to a universal testing machine (EMIC DL 2000 to 0.5 mm / min) and subjected to microtensile test until fracture. After the tests, the fractures are observed in digital microscope (Keyence) and failure mode of the adhesive interface is evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (JSM 5410, Sony). The data obtained will be subjected to appropriate statistical test to analyze the results.
