Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the agronomic performance of sweet potato clones collected in the Ribeira Valley. The evaluation of clones will occur at the Experimental Farm of the UniversidadeEstadualPaulista, Campus Experimental Registry. The seedlings will be produced in September 2013, with subsequent transplantation in October 2013. The branches will be selected, and cut with standard 30 cm length, with six gems. The planting will be carried out using the conventional system, characterized by covering the branches in grooves previously raised. As the roots reach their maximum development, will be evaluated: total production; classification of roots; commercial production of roots, percentage of commercial production of roots, branches fresh produce; total production of dry matter in branches, percentage of dry matter in the branches, total production of root dry matter, percentage the dry matter roots and density of roots. The average data, the characteristics evaluated, will be subjected to analysis of variance by F test, and the averages compared by Skott Knott at 5%, using the computational package Genes. (AU)
