The project proposes a research on the gender studies in the contemporary scene, more precisely the forms of theater/drama, performances art and artistic activism that take women's issues and feminist criticism as a main topic. We are interested in correlating aspects of the "new" feminist theories and gender studies of the last decade with the contemporary scene, focusing at the the resignification of the feminist discourses and their articulation in creative processes of Latin American artists of the beginning of this century. This is a study to also investigate and evaluate the relevance of gender studies at the development processes of artist in the current years.
