Abstract

The present undergraduate research project main objective is to analyze the migration of Bolivian women to the city of São Paulo, a migratory flux that is in a plain process of feminization. The fundamental concepts are labor mobility (GAUDEMAR, 1977) and value-dissociation (SCHOLZ, 2011), put to movement in a critical context of labor precarization and flexibilization. The first step of the project a yearlong literature search, aiming for a solid construction of the main analytical concepts. The field research includes, at first, interviewing the staff of social assistance institutions for migrants, then with Bolivian women themselves, focusing labor and family relations established after their arrival at São Paulo. Through such conversations, it will be possible to analyze the formation of social networks and those women's processes of insertion in the Brazilian society. By the end, the researcher's goal is to develop a consistent reflection regarding feminine migration in the present historical context.
