Impacts rearing of beef cattle grazing at different heights and levels of supplementation on feedlot finishing

Abstract

Will be assessed the effect of history recreates beef cattle grazing in palisadegrass managed under stocking continues, in different grazing heights associated with different doses of supplements in water period on termination of animals in confinement. The systems will be used in the rearing: swards grazed to 15 cm, associated with supplementation with 0.3 or 0.6% of body weight (BW) supplementation, pasture managed 25 cm associated with mineral mixture or 0.3% PC and pasture of 35 cm associated with 0.0 or 0.3% PC. At the end of rearing, will be confined to nine (9) history of each animal, a total of 54 animals. Confinement will be held in individual pens, control and adjust daily and provided leftovers for measurement of dry matter intake. The diet will be the same in all animals, consisting of crushed cane sugar, in a 20:80 ratio (FCR) for average daily weight gain of 1.200 kg, with 105 days of confinement (21 days adaptation, and 84-day trial). The trial will assess the daily intake of dry matter weight gain daily digestibility and feed conversion and final weight at slaughter. The experiment will be conducted according to a completely randomized design, considering the animal as repetition. Data will be analyzed using statistical procedures of SAS software, with 5% probability.
