Abstract The Maldacena's conjecture or AdS/CFT predicts a duality between two apparently different theories and it has been one of the most studiest topics in high energy physics since its formulation. One of the versions of the conjecture is the duality between the theory of type II B superstrings in the background AdS^5 X S^5 and the theory of N=4 d=4 super-Yang-Mills. The superstring action in this background is known both in the Green-Schwarz formalism and in the pure spinor formalism. However, the vertex operators of the theory is not known and there is no available methods for computing its spectrum for first principles. In this project we intend both to study the vertex operatos of the theory generalizing recent results about the behaviour of these operators close to the boundary of AdS and to derive the Y-system of the theory in a higher order in perturbation theory which enables one to compute the spectrum. In addition, we intend to study classical solutions and its quantum corrections for superstrings in the backgrounds AdS^5 X S^5 and AdS_4 X CP^3 which is related with the correlations functions in the limit of strong coupling of the respective dual theory. Using integrability methods, we are going also to study correlations function in N=4 d=4 super-Yang-Mills at weak coupling. (AU) | |
