Abstract

The Brazilian government currently provides subtitles ample for the support and education of its members and supporters, and to obtain other important organizational resources, through mechanisms of party patronage. Only the federal government has about 21,000 positions free appointment, spread throughout the country (Piazza et al., 2012). The occupation party regular machine specific public spaces enables parties to forming political feuds in the administration, contributing decisively to strengthening their organizational and electoral. The work of this scholarship will assist in the systematic and comprehensive analysis of this phenomenon in Brazil. The clipping involves the six largest parties in the country (PSB, PT, PSDB, PMDB, PP and PFL / DEM), and the most prominent positions of the Federal Government (the positions and direction Advice Superior - DAS). The main challenge is to measure the presence of political parties affiliated to the most important posts in the Brazilian public administration.
