Abstract The "Historia da prouincia Sãcta Cruz a que vulgarmete chamamos Brasil", by portuguese Pero de Magalhães de Gândavo, is considered the first story about Brazil, classified by literary historiography as Literature Information. Thus, its study is justified for the importance that represented in the written production of the colonial period. Its author devoted about ten years working on production of the work being printed in 1576, in Lisbon. During the writing process, it went through three different versions, until it was delivered for printing. The proposal, then, will be to bring together the four versions (three manuscripts and the prince edition) and make a lexical comparison in order to investigate Gandavo's authorship marks. As methodological procedure for the lexical study, we will use the statistical textual program Lexicon 3. To accomplish the study of authorship marks, we will assist in the concepts of Discourse Analysis of French oriented, featuring our research as multidisciplinary. We believe that by investigating the authorship marks left on the four versions of the work, we will establish an important relationship between Philology and Discourse Analysis, mobilizing the description of the lexicon and the interpretation of expository scene. As the authorship presents an enunciative regularity, the discourse, along with analysis of scenography mobilized, can help us understand authorship marks. This research is embedded in the Project of History of the "Paulista" Portuguese (PHPP-"Caipira" Project), Thematic Project/FAPESP, process 2011/51787-5. | |
