Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the non-school educational practice from teachers of the "Núcleo de Acolhimento Integrado de Sorocaba (NAIS)" and their impacts on the lives of teenagers under Socio-educative Liberty Assisted in Sorocaba-SP. The justification for the research is that this investigation deals with a social and cultural problem of extreme relevance, which reaches the whole society: the involvement of a growing number of adolescents with infraction acts and, consequently, the violence. So, the research has its specific objectives: (I) to know the historical origin and the current legal and administrative conformation of the NAIS; (II) to identify and analyze the purposes, principles, methods, and content of the education of NAIS; (III) characterize the profile and the pedagogical structure of the NAIS; IV) to know the characteristics (conception and practice) of the non-school educational process developed by educators of the NAIS; (V) to describe and analyze the motivations that led educators to work with adolescents in conflict with the Law. It is foreseen the use of the following procedures that can be changed during the research: visits in loco for the NAIS of Sorocaba - SP; the collet and analysis of documents of the NAIS; search of the data of SINASE; interview with the adolescents that are in socio-educational standard and still with the educators. Also, it will be necessary to continue the realization of bibliographical research, looking to identify the contribution that the production of the area of non-school education can bring to the process of interpretation of the data and the proposing alternatives. For the production of the research it was used, besides the actual legislation, some other theoretical references: SILVA (2003), BECKER (1997), GARRIDO (2010), GONH (2010), ZALUAR (1994), MARTINS (2010), MERTON (1967) e GOFFMAM (1981) that contributed with the conception about the marginalization process, focusing on adolescents' involvement with illegal acts, as well as the features and functions of the profile of social educator who works in non-school contexts. This type of research is "new" in the area of humanities and social sciences, and therefore, it could well be developed into master's projects and even doctorate, however was selected only the necessary part for scientific initiation.(AU)
