Abstract

The cancer treatment presented a great development after the discovery of antitumor properties of the metal transition complex, which have been widely used in chemotherapy. The cisplatin has been used in the treatment for several kind of the cancer, such as; head, esophagus, stomach, lymphoma, melanoma, osteosarcoma, breast and cervix, especially in association with other drugs. However, the cisplatin presents several collateral effects in the patient, such as nausea and vomiting, and others. For increase of the efficiency of the treatment and alleviate the collateral effects, the drug delivery systems has been an option for the treatment of diseases. Rapid prototyping is a technology that allows the manufacture of the polymer pieces with varying degrees of complexity, the technique use a laser to promote the sintering of the polyamide particles. This technology has been used by the Renato Archer Center of Information Technology situated in the Campinas city to produced polyamide membranes with thicknesses and porosity control. In this work the polyamide membrane will be functionalized by alkoxide 3-choropropyltrietoxysilane by sol-gel process, after funcionalization the cisplatin complex will be incorporated to membrane. The characterization of the samples will be by thermal analysis, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, and X-ray diffraction.
