Abstract

The stage of research abroad proposed aims to deepen the theoretical-methodological issues that are being discussed in the current doctoral research being developed at the University of São Paulo, entitled The color of faith: "black identity" and religion, whose goal is to investigate the ways in which, over the last two decades, the speeches that use racial or ethnic references has been operationalized by some religious segments (Protestantism, Catholicism and candomblé) represented in this work by leaders engaged in promoting activities that emphasize racial or ethnic differences between the faithful and articulate, with political and religious institutions, differentiated treatment, with a view to the establishment of religious and socio-political strategies. Among the proposed activities during the internship, will be developed at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, at the Centre d' Études Africaines (Ceaf), are: participation in seminars and research group, documentary research in the collection of the libraries and Ceaf EHESS.
