This research is part of a research project entitled "EFNOB Bauru, Km 0: Set Architecture of Workers' Village and Training Centre", which in turn is part of the larger project, called "EFNOB / Bauru, Km 0", Notice FAPESP / CONDEPHAAT No. 9/2011, Process No. 11/51014-6 and No. 12/50041-2 CONDEPHAAT Process, developed by the 'Architecture: Theory and Design (GA)' Research Group of the FAAC / UNESP. The research aims to conduct an inventory of the heritage of railway industry's Engineers Village, at units 31, 32 and 33 of Nóbile Di Piero Street (two floors houses of different types, of excellent construction standards) of CEFNOB (the railway company of the region), in Bauru City, since the beginning of the constructions, in the early twentieth century, until the present time (time frame). Methodology: The research will be developed in four stages: (I) theoretical studies, (II) an overview of the CEFNOB, (III) the inventory of residential architecture of the Engineers Village and (IV) the guidelines for safeguarding of this heritage. Results: With the documentation: historical, metric, iconographic, finishing and condition of the materials of the residential buildings of the extinct EFNOB in Bauru, this study aims to: I) assist in the process of declaring the assets of EFNOB as heritage, both by the state agency, CONDEPHAAT, as the national IPHAN, II) give conceptual and documentary proposals for studies and projects for restoration and rehabilitation of buildings in the Engineers Village of EFNOB III) to contribute to studies on the residential architecture of CEFNOB IV) subsidize for the protection of conservation areas with the Master Plan of the city of Bauru.
