The purpose of the internship at the Observatório do Meio Rural (OMR) is to analyze the model/models of rural territorial development promoted by Brazil in Mozambique and their ramifications for the Mozambican agrarian question, particularly focusing on the implementation of agricultural development policies through the two trilateral initiatives, ProSAVANA, and the Food Acquisition Program. As a contribution to the central objective of regular ongoing research in Brazil, the primary objective of the current research is to study the socio-territorial impacts related to ProSAVANA's implementation in Northern Mozambique. The research development will occur in two phases-theoretical-methodological and practical-applied-which will be conducted concurrently and supervised. These phases include: attending meetings with the supervisor and members of OMR; carrying out an additional bibliographic review; conducting interviews with various persons related to theme of my research and; conducting field work in Northern Mozambique. Through this internship we will gain the knowledge necessary to more fully understand the strategies for rural territorial development that Brazil is promoting in the country, thereby allowing for the realization of a comparative study.
