The research have like objective to investigate the trajectories of Drawing and Geometry in primary Brazil in the period 1890-1970, which includes the arrival of the First Republic to the change in primary school for 1st grade. The intention with this know how was the process elementarization Drawing and Geometry and what were the impacts suffered by these school subjects among the educational innovations of the intuitive method, the proposals of the New School Movement and Modern Mathematics. The project will be developed under the Ghemat - Research Group for the History of Mathematics Education, and inserted into a larger project, which takes into account the studies André Chervel(1990) for the treatment of school subjects, the Roger Chartier (2002) on Cultural History and Dominique Julia (2001) for discussion of school culture. The sources analyzed are education programs, decrees, reforms, as well as textbooks, tests, notebooks students and teachers, pedagogical journal articles that discuss issues related to the practices of students and teachers and, if possible, testimonials oral these subjects. The guiding question of the research is how different pedagogies were conforming the teachings of Drawing and Geometry in primary school?
