Medical education is a right guaranteed by Brazilian legislation to every child in case of hospitalization, however, not all make use of the same. In this sense to study the training of teachers to work in Hospital Pedagogy is highly relevant. For this we started this study aims to investigate the formation of teachers to work in Hospital Pedagogy, emphasizing their important role in the formation, in the appropriation of knowledge and help hospitalized students ' recovery. The specific objectives are: to understand the concept of initial teacher training to work in basic education; reflect on the social function of the teacher in Teaching Hospital; conceptualize Hospital pedagogy, emphasizing their origin, function and proposal for formal education; check Pedagogy courses in the State of São Paulo to form teachers to work in formal education in hospitals and meet and reflect the opinion of teachers who work in Hospital Pedagogy prioritizing your challenges, its possibilities and its training to the development of his work with quality. To achieve these goals, we use qualitative research, making use of the bibliographical research and research on the websites of the Ministry of education and the Board of education of the State of São Paulo in Brazil. As empirical data collection instrument we appeal to the questionnaire finalizing with the method of content analysis. The subjects of research will be teachers who work in hospital and Pedagogy coordinators of pedagogical courses that offer such training. We hope at the end of the research, a better understanding of what aspects are essential in the formation of the teacher to work with quality in Teaching hospitals, carry out publications and contribute to the strengthening of qualified scientific production in the FCT/UNESP concerning the theme.
