Abstract

With the Psychiatric Reform, community mental health services were proposed, including assistance to children and adolescents, and with this the child and adolescent Psychosocial Care Centers, known as CAPSi were created. This issue was the focus of the study due to the demands related to drug use in this population in Ribeirão Preto - SP. This project aims to describe the care demands for children and adolescents in a Psychosocial Care Center Child (CAPSi) in Ribeirão Preto - SP, more specifically, to identify the socio-demographic and clinical characteristics of the children and adolescents who were referred to the service, to describe the problems reported in their search for a service, and the referrals made to meet their requirements. To achieve these goals, a quantitative, descriptive, exploratory and cross-sectional study involving a survey of data from the medical records of children and adolescents in the Ribeirão Preto CAPSi in 2013 will be performed. For the data collection, a form for the registration of medical record information has been constructed, which covers the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of the children and adolescents, complaints related to the search for a service, the trajectory of seeking mental health care, and questions related to the guidance given by the service. Descriptive data analysis will be performed.
