The recovery of degraded areas by erosion represents a major challenge in the pursuit of conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, as much because the complexity factors that involves the triggering of an erosive process, consisted of natural and socio-economic dynamics that have settled in conflicting way, as the result of this process ranging from low agricultural productivity, pollution and siltation of waterways to the physical, chemical and biological soils degradation. Considering the complexity factors that involved the erosion initiation, this project aims to determine soil loss through Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and the establishment of experimental plots in the field, with the possibility of comparing the results presented by equations with the experiments continuously observed in the areas. Measurements of soil loss also will be used in the development of intervention actions in favor of the erosion recovery. The study will take place in two farms that have natural and distinct use and occupancy characteristics giving them particular spatial complexities, the property located in Vera Cruz - SP has coffe production while the Getulina's - SP is designed to livestock.
