Abstract

The proposed research aims to analyze the production of housing projects undertaken by the Institutos de Aposentadorias e Pensões (Iaps) not only in its physical dimensions, but also ideological. The theme will be developed by adopting two perspectives: the first , understanding the State as a provider of adequate housing for the working classes, with emphasis on achievements promoted in the city of São Paulo; and the second, understanding the vanguard's pedagogical objectives . This double view will be examined using related studies on related topics, especially as primary sources the work of Nabil Bonduki, Paulo Bruna and Adrián Gorelik. Understanding the achievements that will be study is accompanied by a period of transition and modernization of the country. (AU)
