Abstract

Family Health Strategy (FHS) has been considered a feature for operationalizing the transformation of the assistance healthcare model. Studies indicate that one of the FHS challenges for its actual implementation is the development of a practice focused on the family as a whole instead of looking at individuals separately. This Project intents analysing meanings constructed about families by professional of FHS's multiprofessional team; and understanding how these meanings set care practices in this environment. This is a qualitative study based theoretically and methodologically on Social Constructionism Movement's contributions to Psychology, focusing on the production of meanings in discursive practices. Observation and audio recordings of "family discussions" meetings will compound the corpus of analysis. These meetings are held by 2 family healthcare teams in Ribeirão Preto (State of São Paulo, Brazil), which consist of skeleton and extended teams professionals. These meetings are interdisciplinary spaces that aim on constructing joint interventions with the professionals for cases considered as "difficult". The observation and recording are expected to be made of 10-20 meetings, which will be literal and completely transcribed. Field notes will be taken during the whole research process, in which context and interaction elements with the participants are recorded. The recordings will be analysed through thematic-sequential analysis, prioritizing the meaning production process on families in discursive practices among professionals. Thus, this Project aims to help the work with families to meet, in a more complex manner, FHS's goal, in line with Brazilian Unified Health System's propositions.
