Polyaniline (PAni) is known as a way for providing protection against metallic corrosion. Nevertheless, the protective layer requires certain properties to be effective and adhesion is the most important of them. Adhesion depends on different factors, namely geometry and morphology of the surface, solvent and method of deposition of films. In this project, films of PAni will be synthesized chemically or electrochemically, characterized and deposited on the surface of carbon and stainless steel samples. Dispersion of magnetite nanoparticles or synthesis of nanocomposites will be carried out through chemical and/or electrochemical pathway and will be characterized. Corrosion tests will be carried out through potentiodynamic polarization measurements and salt spray chamber analysis.
