Abstract

The last few decades have shown a staggering urban growth in Brazil as in some European countries and the USA. This urban sprawl advances over environments that were previously governed by natural dynamics, but now are feeling the pressures of human activities, which act significantly in transforming landscapes. Thus, urbanization as a modifier of the morphodynamics of relief, it is a field of study of the geomorphology, therefore, this search to understand the interaction of the physical system with the social, forming the spatial organization. From regions of urbanization, periurban regions are notable for their complexity arising from the interaction of urban and natural environments. Thus, this work aims to develop a systematic cartographic analysis of physical space used to direct the implementation of urbanization in a given area, with specific physical characteristics, assisting in the management and urban and environmental planning. To achieve this objective, cartographic materials will be made as Clinographic Chart, Horizontal and Vertical Dissection Letter, Relief's Energy Map, Letter of Land Use and Occupation and Vegetation Cover, Superficial Runoff Concentration, Geomorphological Letter, Legal Violations and Environmental Derivations Letter, Letter of Physical Fragility, Unconsolidated Material and Urban Use Guidance, the latter being a cartographic material of synthesis and unprecedented nature. Having as its object of study the city of Bauru (SP), specifically the upper basin of the stream Água Parada, to be in the region of urban sprawl in a city of historical importance of urbanization process and significant growth of the state of São Paulo. Thus, under the theoretical-methodological General Systems Theory, which raises the holistic analysis, we seek to achieve the proposed goal, developing grants able to assist urban and environmental planning.
