The team sports have a complex and dynamic environment, in which players must be able to select an appropriate solution to the game situations. For this, it is necessary the player has some capabilities so that its decision-making to be effective: perception, attention, memory and anticipation. Therefore, it assumes that over the teaching-learning-training (TLT) process the player should be encouraged to solve possible problems in the context of the game. Cooperation and intelligence are important features for the training of players and players that are more experienced has more technical expertise and greater repertoire of tactical solutions. The coach has a decisive role in the players' formation, and is responsible for the elaboration and management of the TLT process. In this research project, the option is the qualitative research to access the coaches' opinion on a particular theme (training of smart players) from a semistructured interview instrument. For tabulation and analysis of the speeches will be used the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) method. In this way, will be performed the analysis of the speeches of the finalist coaches of five sports (football, futsal, volleyball, basketball and team handball) of the first division of the 'Jogos Abertos do Interior-SP' for mapping and analysis of this process.
