Abstract

This Project is part of the Doctoral Project "O herói e o criado nas peças mitológicas de Antônio José da Silva: modelo para um guia de análise de peças teatrais", which takes as paradigm the mythological thematic plays written by Portuguese playwright Antônio José da Silva. It aims to contribute to the reading and analysis of theater plays under classic models emulation. Such analysis seeks a dramatic style hybrid process study that encompasses and allows the dialog between two different knowledge fields of theatrical process: Literature and Theater. The separation between those two fields is not enough to develop an analysis of emulated plays. In this sense, Antonio Jose is in a disruption moment of thought about textual elaboration, but still following previous patterns established, previous to the Enlightenment and French Revolution thoughts. Our seeking is to a better reading, comprehension and analysis of ancient dramatic texts. At the 18th century Portuguese context, the gracioso is fundamental to understanding the processes of writing and interaction between theater and its audience. As the gracioso was created and developed on the Spanish Golden Age theater, for better perceiving the its composition forms, features necessary the in loco research about the character-type. (AU)
