Abstract

This research abroad is contributing to the understanding of the pathological manifestations in structural systems of public buildings in the city of Presidente Prudente, State of São Paulo, from contact with other construction techniques, in addition to the research project already underway. To leave the study of pathological manifestations of the structural systems in concrete, steel and wood in public buildings in Presidente Prudente, we propose to work compared two different realities, in this case, Seville, Spain, a city with which our study group has links to research. Identified in this Spanish city's buildings belonging to Campus Reina Mercedes University of Seville: Faculty of Mathematics (structured in concrete) and Construction Laboratory CITIUS (structured steel) and therefore atentaremos simultaneously to the differences and similarities of pathological manifestations in systems structural steel and concrete constructions of these in order to understand the different types of anomalies identified. Therefore, this project directs his attention to both the relationships between each part (the study of pathological manifestations found) and the whole (reality in which they operate public buildings, not just those identified in the city of Presidente Prudente and Seville, but also in a broader scale, Brazil and Spain).
