Abstract

To evaluate the nutritional, ruminal, blood and urine characteristics of lambs fed diets containing corn silage inoculated associated with two levels of concentrate. The forage was inoculated with 1x105 CFU of Lactobacillus plantarum associated with 1x105 CFU of Bacillus subtilis or kept without inoculation (control). 8 sheep (Dorper Sta Ines x) will be used in two ratios 40:60 and 60:40 (forage: concentrate). Consumption and digestibility by total collection of feces, concentrations of VFA, lactic acid, Namonical, the pH of the rumen fluid, blood glucose concentrations AGV, triglycerides, insulin (energy metabolism) will be evaluated; urea, total protein and albumin (protein metabolism), and the Ca, P and Mg (mineral metabolism) and finally the production of microbial protein and nitrogen balance by total collection of urine. The experimental design will be a double Latin square 4 x 4, consisting of four animals, four diets and four periods. Data will be submitted to analysis of variance and means were compared by Tukey test at a significance level of 5%.
