Dams could cause serious impacts, especially, when there is no rigorous planning of your project and its implementation, in which National Policy of Dams Safety enhanced the relevance of the topic, although it is focused on medium and large sized enterprises. Despite of the fact that small dams do not have the destructive potential of large and medium sized ones, they could increase the occurrence of debris flow. This research project aims to evaluate physiographic parameters and use and occupancy of the soil associated with the occurrence of landslides on the surrounding earth dams in the basin of the Ribeirão do Roque, establishing the vulnerability of buses to these processes. The watershed of Ribeirão do Roque has 95 earth dams in medium and small sizes, 88 tanks in areas of floodplain and 18 mining areas, in which it has occurred a dam failure, causing damage to rural properties and civil constructions. The following steps will be performed in the research: library survey; organization of the database; definition of landslides susceptibility; survey of dams in the basin; elaboration of preliminary map of landslides susceptibility; field survey and the final map of landslide susceptibility; and criteria for defining vulnerability of dams. As the final product of project will be elaboration of susceptibility map of landslides and vulnerability map of dams, with their respective criteria.
