Abstract

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are aircraft that can fly autonomously, without the existence of a human pilot, and can be used nowadays in different types of applications, civilian or military. What enables these aircraft to follow a pre-programmed flight path is the autonomous control system, responsible for keeping the aircraft stable and perform navigation tasks. This internship overseas research aims to study techniques of statistical estimates to perform the data sensor fusion from the aircraft allowing for better navigability and also to obtain more robust values that can help in detecting and avoiding obstacles. The results will be achieved with simulations in Matlab Simulink tool. (AU)
