Abstract

In relativistic heavy ion collisions, the Glauber model can be used to estimate the centrality of the collision. Results for the production of hadrons in collisions of Au + Au and Cu + Cu as a function of centrality show a different behavior depending on the number of nucleons participating in the collision for these systems. The aim of this project is to study the influence of fluctuations in the initial distribution of nuclear matter in the production of particles and determine whether this effect is consistent with the differences observed in these two systems.
