This master's degree project intends to understand Rosa Luxemburg's collapse theory and its relationship with the debate in the German social democracy between 1898 and 1914. Therefore, it is necessary to study the debate within the left at the moment of her book's publication. This can not be done by simply analysing the minutes of the Social Democratic Party of Germany congresses, it is also necessary to read the party press documents, which can only be found within German archives. Another issue is to be analyzed: what was the extension of the party's press? To whom were its publications directed? These are key questions to comprehend the selected sources in the master's degree project and to shine a light on the extent of Luxemburg's ideas. (AU)
