Abstract

The aim of this research is to discuss the expansion of popular science publications on the Internet by a dialogical point of view. The scope of this research corpus previously archived, includes the utterances posted on Facebook by Scientific American Brazil, Pesquisa FAPESP in the first semester of 2014 (January 1, 2014 - July 30, 2014). I intend to note how scientific utterances have been published in the context of social media such as blogs, official sites and especially on Facebook pages. We will use, as a theoretical and methodological basis, concepts elaborated by Bakhtin Circle, in particular: genres, spheres of human activity, author and ideology. It is expected, as a result, that there is an alternation of content, style and form, similar to which occurred in these three magazines. It is intended, finally, to note issues regarding the scope of genres such as authorship, compositional form and style of these utterances published. In addition to these factors, the use or absence of quoted discourse, and references to other websites and blogs are one of the indexes to check in what ways scientific utterances are used in science communication on Facebook.
