Abstract

This research aims to study the process of professional insertion of two teachers of Basic Education. Both are in their first year of teaching work within the public school system. The research discusses the actual conditions with which teachers deal and how the challenges faced in early career influence their professional development.Due to the scarcity of studies that consider the theme and considering the importance of reflecting on the quality of teacher training, including on how is the process of becoming a teacher, this study aims to elucidate questions about the universe teaching: training; performance and evaluation in order to better understand the interactions between the various elements that make up the teaching career. The methodology used in this study rests with the interviews; study reports and field diaries. (AU)
