Abstract

This research project has as main objective to analyze the digital inclusion of the elderly as a tool for social valuation in the city of Franca-SP. The theoretical framework to be used in this research work is grounded in understanding the population growth of the elderly segment and the meaning of being old in the Brazilian capitalist society; investigate the advancement of information and communication technology in Brazilian society. Analyze social policies and social programs aimed at the social value of the elderly as a mechanism for the exercise of citizenship; research is being materialized as digital inclusion elder in Elderly Community Centres in the city of Franca-SP. The methodological approach to be used in this research will be bibliographic, documentary and field research. We use a qualitative approach, with the dialectical method, and the seizure of the data we use the technique of semi-structured interview. For data analysis we will make use of the method studied by Minayo (2007) content analysis. The expected result is that computerization can be instrumental in the inclusion of older people in capitalist society, showing your ability to learn something new while preserving their autonomy, and mostly getting less vulnerable.
