Abstract

The Parent Orientation Program (PROPAIS I) consists of a structured orientation of parents in group and program the children are in psychotherapeutic care in the school-clinic the Center for Applied Psychology (CPA) at the University of São Paulo - Campus Ribeirão Preto. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between parenting styles and children difficulties, all in attendance at the school clinic. Will compose the sample all the parents who participated in any of the group parents orientation LaPICC-USP from 2009 until 2014, and their children, being in individual psychotherapy in the school-clinic USP-RP. The research will be held in the database of the tests of the participants responded before the start of PROPAIS I program, and the medical records of children treated on LaPICC-USP since 2009. The data will be analyzed in a nonparametric statistics, using descriptive and inferential analysis and correlation for the analysis of data obtained by the parents in the IEP, CBCL, SDQ and the qualitative data from the medical records of children will be categorized and will be presented their frequencies.
