Abstract

We hope that at the end of this research, we can approach the university with the public school, through a constructive partnership to concurrently development of all those professional involved in the research. To achieve these objectives we will use qualitative research and, as data collection instruments, we chose by the bibliographic study, document analysis, observation and semi-structured interviews, ending with the method of content analysis in the tabulation and analysis of empirical data. The aim of this work is to investigate professional performance management team in the daily life of a public school that seeks to build democratic-participative management. The specific objectives are focused on: understanding the concept of democratic management, reflection on the social role of the management team in public schools, identification the challenges of management team in public schools, research with the possibilities of the management team in a democratic management. The public school today has as its main function, contribute to the transformation of existing reality. Thus, the school needs to transform as a center of debates, discussions that propitiate endless moments of reflection, a space to form people critical and reflective. With the process of democratization of education, the information currently circulating in society with much more quickly and easily, so it is urgent that the school rethink its ancient role of a mere transmitter of knowledge.
