Abstract

Seed quality is of fundamental importance because the use of good quality seeds can prevent problems in agriculture and financial losses resulting from uneven and gaps in emergency. After reaching physiological maturity, all seeds gradually lose their vitality (in case of deterioration), depending on the species considered, the chemical composition of the seed, the conditions under which they were produced and stored. There is evidence that in some legumes, these characteristics quality are sequentially acquired after physiological maturity, when the seeds lose water and are still on the mother plant. Among the characteristics that indicate superior seed is longevity, which can be defined as the ability of the seed to remain alive during storage. It is an important feature in the maintenance of seed vigor over time. This study aims to identify the proteins associated with the purchase of longevity in soybean seeds. The experiment will be conducted at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), Botucatu-SP, and in collaboration with the Federal University of Lavras-MG. Upon completion of the soybean seeding cultivar 284 in the field, germination, moisture content, fresh and dry mass, acquisition of germinability and longevity test was performed. Subsequently protein extraction, sequencing and identification is performed. For physiological analysis, the experimental design will be randomized blocks. The data will be submitted to analysis of variance, if significant, the averages obtained are compared by the Tukey test. (AU)
