There are few studies on musculoskeletal ultrasound anatomy of the thoracolumbar and lumbar spine of normal dogs. The objective of this study is to compare the normal sonographic anatomy of the musculoskeletal vertebral segments evaluated with images obtained by magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and anatomical specimens to demonstrate the ability to identify structures. The completion of this research project is the search for alternative methods of diagnosis and more accessible methods of diagnosis without the use of ionizing radiation for evaluation of thoracolumbar and lumbar spine segments dogs.
