Abstract

The reading of Anatol Rosenfeld aims to analyze some characteristics determinants for the construction of a proletarian reality in British sport . In his work "Negro, Macumba e Futebol" and your text originally written in German to the Yearbook of Hans-Standen Institute under the title "Das Fussballspiel in Brasilien " in 1956 , the author demonstrates how was ended the exclusive property of the elite on the football to the insurgency of some black players and fans, immigrants, mulattos , brown and poor.The main intention is to analyze the social prerogatives of the game and the historical events that leading the sport to the professional way with its coverage in national level and aeffective participation of disadvantaged blacks and classes in their ideological construction ofracial democracy.It is a form of analysis that the figure of the black in Brazil is intertwined in aweb of social and cultural relations of belonging to a new nation at the beginning of the twentieth century. Theblack people here build a new identity in society and as a form of resistanceends rooting their cultural traits along other cults and rites ; that these nowwill be even more inherent to football and the contemporary Brazilian society.Therefore, it is through the German experience of birth and Brazilian by adoptionAnatol Rosenfeld , made possible an external analysis of racial issues , cultural andsocial at the period of transition of amateurism to professionalism in football, but alsoabout the picturesque aspects that prowled what is called about popularization of the sport in this civilizing process .
